A notice from the Community Ranger for Devon & Cornwall, Forestry England
The forestry operation is due to recommence at Witherdon Woods in mid-July, we are expecting the works to be completed in 4-6 weeks. They are finishing the planned operation which started in 2021.
Our intention is for the forest and car park to stay open throughout the remaining operation. The felling team will be working in various sections of the wood and we’ll be closing certain roads and tracks while they are being worked and we’ll move the closures as the team move between sections.
Could everyone follow all safety signage and be mindful that there will be haulage lorries using the forest road network while the forest is open to the public.
